About Us

San Juan Firewood is family owned and operated and has been in operation since 2020. After having both worked in the medical field and in the oil and gas industry, we relocated from Texas to pursue our dreams of living in the majestic mountains of Colorado. What we learned right at the beginning was that having quality firewood was an essential part of the lifestyle. With that, an idea was born. We knew that hardwoods were especially hard to get at high altitude regions. We took that and ran with it. We started by bringing in Mesquite with its high BTU rating from the plains of West Texas. We eventually grew our business to include the smooth, mouthwatering Coastal Texas Post Oak, the rustic and traditional East Texas Hickory, the mild yet flavorful Hill Country Pecan, and the fruity flavor of the Wild Cherry from the delta regions of Texas. Our beautiful Silverton Colorado community encouraged a more affordable alternative for heating their homes in the winter which led us to realizing what a wonderful asset the Pine and Spruce in our area are. We are now able to provide firewood year round for cooking and heating purposes. We still provide our hardwoods to restaurants so they can make the delicious food we love and individuals who prefer that long burn for overnight heating. We also provide a pine/spruce mix at a more economic cost than anyone in our area in true cords of 128cu/ft and bundles so that our community can stay warm all year and visitors can enjoy outdoor adventures in the winter and summer.
